OpenAI ha rilasciato un nuovo modello linguistico chiamato o1 (dove la vocale richiama il nome dell’azienda). Si tratta della versione completa di un modello già presentato in preview qualche mese fa.
La caratteristica di questi modelli detti di “reasoning” è che sono stati addestrati per simulare il ragionamento umano e risolvere problemi complessi (scientifici e logici). Nella fase di inferenza, si prendono del tempo per rispondere correttamente. In questo periodo di “riflessione” seguono e mettono a confronto più soluzioni, le confutano e poi giungono a dare il risultato.
Questa versione di o1 è più capace, ma anche più veloce di o1-preview. Inoltre presenta una riduzione di errori ed allucinazioni del 34%.
Al momento, il modello o1 non accetta immagini e pdf in input, non ha capacità di visione e non accede al web.
OpenAI ha rilasciato anche una versione “o1 Pro Mode ” che fa un uso più intenso di risorse computazionali e dunque è più affidabile per la risoluzione di problemi complessi. Questa versione è disponibile solo acquistando il nuovo piano Pro.
Il piano Pro di ChatGPT costa $200 al mese. Offre un accesso illimitato ai modelli e una context window, utile per la gestione di file grandi, di 128K (mentre nel piano free è di 8K e nel piano Plus è di 32K).
