Ieri La Repubblica ha dedicato una pagina alla mia analisi della situazione di Facebook in Italia , chiedendomi un’opinione sull’impatto che può avere questa emorragia di utenti giovani.
A me pare che Zuckerberg abbia previsto questa fase di maturità della piattaforma per tempo e si sia corazzato adeguatamente. L’acquisizione di Instagram , WhatsApp e Oculus va proprio nella direzione di costruire un ecosistema in grado di compensare le debolezze dei singoli servizi.
Facebook rimane comunque l’organismo più forte per la sua capacità di generare introiti. E’ vero che gli spazi pubblicitari occupabili nella piattaforma si vanno restringendo, ma altri nuovi si stanno sperimentando (le Storie e Facebook Messenger ). Insomma diffiderei di chi intona il de profundis.
