Google ha deciso di cambiare strategia sull’intelligenza artificiale generativa. Bard, diretto competitor di ChatGPT, è diventato Google Gemini per metter in luce l’uso del modello di linguaggio sottostante, Gemini Pro.
A questa versione gratuita del chatbot, l’azienda del gruppo Alphabet, ha deciso di affiancare Gemini Advanced. Si tratta di una versione a pagamento che usa un modello di IA più avanzato chiamato Gemini Ultra 1.0. Il prezzo è di $20 e, di fatto, corrisponde ad un abbonamento a Google One AI Premium, il servizio che offre anche 2TB di spazio, una VPN e l’integrazione delle funzioni IA con Google Documenti, Fogli, Slide e GMail (in arrivo).
Quindi allo stesso prezzo di ChatGPT si hanno dei servizi in più. In questo video ho testato Gemini Advanced e devo dire che il livello è molto simile a GPT-4. In alcuni task mi è sembrato anche migliore (per esempio la scrittura di testi di marketing). Va tenuto presente, però, che attualmente Gemini non permette di caricare file .pdf. Inoltre, la generazione di immagini è, per ora, utilizzabile solo usando una VPN. Buona visione!
